You used to say
I wonder what you say today ( SB)
A moment defying norm or expectation falls into eternity. ( Time stops and gasps for air.) Your thin long pale fingers gently cup it and carry it on silver trays into our daily dwellings. Memory sits it on a vintage chair at your writing desk. The golden ink bottle opens itself and brings the feather to its feast. Once comfortably placed among its deep crimson velvet cushions, the eager moment boldly stares at your face, seizes your gaze, then simply takes your hand and blatantly demands its golden record in your book of time. Your patient right hand slips in a finely embroidered bookmark.
Time is kind in its moments and unkind in its records.
