Against the rip current: Lessons in the textbooks
To have all the impediments and faults and trials, hate and envy splattered on your face, ignorance deriding and righteousness amending the known and the unknown... Petty tricks, grand maneuvers... yet, not to let the tears find you because somewhere, flickering on the vast sea of knowledge, as in any given moment at a forgotten attic window in the old city of the old world, there are million specks of light daring the eye to dive in and rescue one. And as one dims out, ten lighten up.
True, there is no need for blame to pass around. And even more: it is, probably, a failure of the mind to see the traps and landmines all around. Yet, in the end, does it really matter? What difference does it make at this point? That's P's enduring lesson: staunch, simple, sound for history & its future. As well as the sound of the fleeting daily, incoming history: the breaking, the recent, the current, the last trend. The two, history and nowadays, never following, always colliding.
